In Brussels you live with your Nuclear Family which means you live with your parent and brothers and sisters if you have any. 90% of the homes are small dwellings in which a single family lives in. Just like the regions in Belgium, in Brussels social classes are classified by what language you speak. The languages are Dutch, French, and German. There are lots of holidays that they celebrate in Brussels and most of them we celebrate too like New Year's Eve/ New Year's Day, Labor Day, Good Friday, Easter, and Armistice Day (Veterans Day). The holidays that they celebrate that we don't are National Day, French community holiday, King's Feast/Dynasty Day, and Boxing Day. The carnivals they have are Binche and Ommegang Pagent. For the carnivals they wear wooden clogs, dark-colored baggy pants, long shirts, and for the men only they wear peaked caps and for the women they wear white fluffed caps. On non festival days they wear modern day clothing. In Brussels people love telling myths and folktales. The food the eat almost all the time in Brussels are potatoes (which are the staple food), seafood and meat, and the national dish is Mussles and pommes fries. They also relish chocolate. Now for religion, in Brussels most of the people are Roman Catholic (75%) and the rest are Protestant (25%.) Belgium has a parliamentary democracy, and if you don't know what that means, it means that a Parliament is elected by the people.
